Cochrane

Of all the "bedroom" communities, Cochrane is the closest to the Rocky Mountains. Straddling both banks of the Bow river, the town has an impressive look & feel. For years, the early industry was ranching, and Cochranites are proud of their heritage. People live in Cochrane who love fishing, hunting, and easy access to a slew of Provincial parks.

Cochrane has always been more affordable than its big brother Calgary, but still offers a wide range of housing options, for families, from townhomes right up to acreages with sweeping views of the mountains (e.g. Bearspaw). Further, it has all of the amenities & shops that you might expect from a medium sized Canadian town.

Only 35 minutes from Calgary airport, many of our clients have chosen to live in or close to Cochrane and fly in and out for work in the oil sands. The weather is good, and the housing affordable. It's easy to attract your extended family to come and visit with so much on your doorstep.
